Temporal Landmarks | Reflect, Reset, Recommit
New Year’s Day is what PLACE Co-Founder Chris Suarez often refers to as a "temporal landmark" - a natural moment in time that helps us mentally close one chapter and open another. Other examples of temporal landmarks could include the first day of a new week or month, a birthday, starting a new job, moving into a new home, or even the start of a new season. Days that help us separate “what was” from “what’s next,” making it easier to reset our mindset and recommit to goals that matter.
That’s why New Year’s resolutions feel so powerful. They’re less about the calendar and more about mindset. As we step into 2026, we’re choosing to carry forward what worked, learn from what didn’t, and move ahead with intention, gratitude, and optimism for what’s next.
What’s a recent temporal landmark in your life that made you pause and reflect, and what are you hoping for in this next chapter?
