I was born and raised in Seattle. It took the perspective of many years away at school for me to fully appreciate the uniqueness of this corner of the country. After moving back home to Seattle and working as a Physical Therapist for many years, I arrived in Bellingham in 2010. My eclectic background in both Physical Therapy and boat building (yes, there was boat school!), plus my interest in homes made real estate a natural choice. Working as a Physical Therapist requires both skills in observation and education, where boat building helped me understand craftsmanship. When I was 16 my folks built a house in our backyard. What an experience to watch a new home being built and learn all it takes. In the early days these skills expressed themselves as buying old homes, renovating them, then selling them on my own. It brings me joy using my unique skills to help clients find their new home in a neighborhood that fits how they spend their free time. When I am not out with my clients, and my daughters are back to school, I am enjoying the natural beauty of Bellingham. Whether it be skiing at Mount Baker, Riding on Galbraith, or kayaking (or motor boating) around the islands of the Puget Sound.
Competent, professional, and responsive!
Jenni and her team were extremely competent, professional and responsive during our home buying process. We relocated form California to Washington, so most of the communication were virtual. But, Jenni was always there throughout the process. We were on a very tight schedule. We accepted an offer on our house in California on August 18th, flew to Seattle on August 20th, saw five houses in Anacortes on August 21st, liked one, put an offer on one house on August 22nd, it was accepted on August 23rd, with the sale closing on September 22nd. Our house in California was supposed to close on Sept 20th. So, there were no margins of error. Jenni and her team worked diligently through the process. Jenni made sure my mortgage loan approval went smoothly, intervened and accelerated the house appraisal when it was getting delayed and gave us tips on how to streamline the down payment transaction so that we don't waste any time. It's a miracle that everything went smoothly and we closed our new home in Anacortes on the scheduled date, September 22nd. After the closing, Jenni contributed to a few charities of our choice as a thank you gift!! We are extremely pleased to work with Jenni and would recommend her and her team to anyone looking for a realtor without any hesitation!

Moving cross country was a breeze!
Jenni Durgin is a fantastic realtor! She anticipated our needs before we could ask for them. We moved across the country, in winter, during the covid-19 pandemic and she made the move as smooth as possible considering the circumstances.
